Museu de Calouste Gulbenkian is probably the biggest and nicest museum of Lisbon. The museum offers the impressive collection of works of art from the Armenian oil magnate Calouste Sarkis Gulbenkain.
Calouste Sarkis Gulbenkain escaped from the second world, and found secure asylum in Portugal.
The collection consists of oriental handicraft, as well as pictures and sculptures of many famous European artists like Rubens, Rembrandt, Frans Hals, Renoir and Rodin.
There is also artful furniture and porcelain from the 18th century in France.
The park of the museum offers the possibility for a nice walk, and the visit of the close museum of modern art
