Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga is Portugals national museum for old art, and also known as the “museum with the green windows”.
The museum shows the most important collections in Portugal of furnitures, ceramics, glass, sacral works of gold and silver, as well as other interesting objects.
But the most important exhibits of the museum are paintings from Dürer, Holbein, Cranach, and Velasquez. There is also a sexpartite winged altar of the Portuguese painter Nuno Goncalves, which is quite remarkable as well.
Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga offers also a nice view from a terrace over the Tejo river.
