The Park of Nations is located in the former area of the world exhibition, which took place in 1998. Before the exhibition this place was quite empty. Now a new district with more than 20.000 inhabitants exists, and Parque das Nacoes is part of it.

Many interesting and modern sights can be seen. There is the 17 kilometres bridge called “Ponte Vasco da Gama” over the Tejo delta, the high tech railway station known as “Oriente”, and the biggest fish tank of Europe, the “Oceanario”.
There is also stage for concerts and sport events with a capacity for 20.000 people called “Pavilhao Atlantico”, the exhibition halls of “Feira Internacional de Lisboa”, as well as the new casino and many bars and pubs.
