Lisbon has a great history of its theatres. The most important theatres in Portugals capital are “Sao Luiz“, ““Trindade” on the Chiado, and “Donna Maria II” close to the Rossio square. Their stage plays are done in Portuguese language.
Teatro Nacional de Sao Carlos in Baixa-Chiado offers an interesting style of the main entrance with a picture gallery.
A theatre in the style of the 20′s of the last century is Teatro Politeama. A lot of national and internationl musicals are played there. Teatro Politeama can be found in Rua Portas de Santo Antao 109.
