The Lisbon Park which was dedicated to Eduardo VII, can be found on the extreme north side of the Liberty Avenue.
Eduardo VI was an English king, and a big friend of Portugal. When he arrived in 1903 to confirm the English-Portuguese friendship, the name of the park was changed from “Liberty Park” into “Eduardo VII Park”.
There is a lot to see and experience. A Sports Pavilion for tennis, swimming and gym, which was built in 1932. A lot of restaurants, and the greenhouse with a green museum.
